T Nut for 5/16 Inch Lag Screws

T-Nut mounting can be used to fit any leg with a standard 5/16" lag screw to the bottom of a sofa, lounge or piece of furniture.

Simply drill a hole roughly the same size as the diameter of the T-section.  Tap the T-Nut into the timber with a hammer or mallet until it is flush with the surface.  The hole needs to be deep enough so that the screw will fit through the T-Nut and  into the lounge frame or furniture item you are fixing it to.

Where would use a T-Nut ? 
When needing to fix a leg (that has a 5/16" lag screw) to the bottom of a lounge or piece of furniture. Drill a hole in the timber that is about the same size as the outer diamter of the T-Nut, and then use a hammer or rubber mallet to knock the T-Nut into the timber until it is flush with the surface. 
Remember to drill the initial hole deep enough so that the hole of the lag screw will fit up into the frame of the lounge or piece of furniture you are fixing it to.
